Ok... it seems that AC already have IW, so we should correct Banana regarding that. We can fill in "GS?" with masonry-math.

Screenshots - as I've stated in the AC thread, I'm fine with an exchange, preferably one that gives up little, such as the one Blake posted.

I note that they do not mention borders. Obviously they don't know where we are and thus cannot get into specifics, but I don't seen any mention at all in that note regarding discussing setting borders. Let us press that issue.

Trade: obviously we're interested, but a road is not feasible at this time. It's possible that it would be quicker to get coastal trade running via sailing. But in either case, it's not imminent.

Have Banana sent their promised "addendum" showing which techs they currently have?

We could perhaps prompt them by sending them a list of our current techs. I'm fine with them knowing this, we've already told AC of course. Helps emphasize that we're being open and honest and all that.

It is a show of good faith. I just wonder how things will turn out now that Nana spilled the beans about a total tech sharing arrangement as opposed to what AC told us about cash and carry.

Wow Banana gave us everything - all the strategic resources. Leads my to question why AC got Iron Working, it must be for jungle clearing...

They might expect maps of the lands to be reciprocated. There's no chance in hell we'll be so casual with our maps. For now we show them the neutral territory and use the clause "Sorry, we can't show any information of tactical importance". Or we could just go with the "Eh. We're paranoid." tact.
We can use the same tact to refuse Banana map information. "Eh, we can't trust you to keep this information safe, you have a proven bad trackrecord".

Banana and AC are fairly close together, nana weren't nice enough to turn on grid but it looks they like are 2 tiles further apart than GS-Vox, but they don't have a river/religion situation.
Also it doesn't look like they have a wonderful amount of land up there, probably less than we do.

I say we open with Blake's screenshot showing the northern part of our (and Vox's) borders and the lands between us and Banana. We can also indicate that we will discuss providing screenshots of our lands and Voxian territory, but that we were not prepared for such disclosure - indeed we were rather shocked at the screenshot Banana provided.

Our internal discussion, I imagine, will confirm that GS has very little desire to provide a screenshot that gives up so much.

If pressed, I think we simply explain that not giving up a map of our core lands was the only thing that saved our team from an early rush in the PTWDGI. The value of keeping that information to ourselves cannot really be overstated. Given that we're at war as we speak, surely they can understand our concern?

Ultimately, we might want to consider showing them a map the gives them the coastline, so they have an idea of the total territory we've got to work with.

On second thought...

Banana are going to meet Vox soon. Vox can provide a map of their own lands + a goodly chunk of ours (including, IIRC, a shot that would show EotS - the turn when we whacked their scout).

Therefore, it's probably pointless to try and avoid showing Banana and AC a screenshot of our core. I just think we want to wipe out the food/production bar of EotS, any units... and I'm uncertain about resources.

Upon checking the all knowing screenie, the truth is known thru our kingdom of the state of WAR. We thank you for the warning over Stormians ways.

We request a map of your lands with resources so we can rejoice throughout our lands, the peace is the one true way.

Can it be as simple as a simple exchange of when techs are discovered ?

My friends of the Gathering Storm & Alpha Centuri,

Here is the promised list of Team Banana's current technologies. As you see we need to come to a decision soon. Team Banana wants this open tech agreement but time is pushing us to make a decision on what to study next. Some agrue that we cannot neglect defense waiting for this agreement to be signed and begun - they argue for Iron Working next. Others argue that this would be redundant at best since Iron Working is discovered and harmful to the agreement at worst. We have sent our wisest to the mountain to smoke banana peels as is our way. Hopefully the Great Banana will give us a sign.

Would an exchange of screenshots and maps help? Gathering Storm, In which direction should we lay our roads so that trade can begin between our nations?
