Eh. I thought GS was supposed to be the slowest team for responding to diplo. Maybe Nana are trying to give us a run for our money?

Does anybody know their team leaders personally? As in, the sort of I-know-you connection that might get us past the "eh, I should do something about that demogame one of these days..." sort of barrier?

Not that we want to hassle them, but it would be nice to let them know that we're happy if they are happy, and want to play nice and friendly (for the time being.....)

I speculate that banana have figured out there's a 3rd party involved and have decided that they'd rather not get played by us, and would rather meet the 3rd party first and negotiate with both. It would be damn smart of them.

If we want to do diplomacy with Banana we probably have to offer some real information.

There's a few other reasons for diplomatic silence... a couple based on paranoia and then there is laziness. But for now I think they just want to be as noncommittal as possible.

Um...I wuld lean towards laziness/difficulty; I think fed is their turn player and doesn't have brilliant english (better than some peoples whom some on this team have worked with before though), and they are a small team. I jsut think Fewd doesn't want to start diplomacy because he doesn't want to write as much in English. Wouldn't be the first time a team has gone down that road.

Fed's a buddy o mine, he said that he isn't doing the diplomacy.

He has a tendency to say the opposite of what he means because double negatives are ok in Portuguesse but not in English, so he could say "We don't want to not go to war with you" meaning that he doesn't want to go to war.

I am well experienced with diplomacy with Portuguese speakers. None of them have been hard to understand, even when they are total noobs to the language.
