Blake - I believe this is where you take over. Lay it out for me, guru.

      Grog 1.

Zidane... 3 I think, but I'd like to hear others options.

      Others - lookin' good.

Steady as she goes until the turn after the skirmisher completes.

When moving a worker from the Sheep to the Floodplain will reduce growth from 2 turns to 1 turn, do so.

Have the worker chop, *The chop must land on a settler*, of course being non-warlords we can just ninja-switch to the settler in the middle of the turn, at size 4. (in warlords we'd have to wait until size 5 to land the chop).
        But anyway.
The chop must land on the settler.

The Grassland Hill must be improved in this order : chop, mine, road. Completely building the road before the mine will result in 99/100 settler .

This incidently is using the plan of training *1* skirmisher, and then getting right to the settler, this seems to be perfectly safe given Vox military levels are very low, the skirmisher runs off to wines and parks there, then the settler comes settles...

Hmmmm. In terms of military movements:
-Is it worth harassing their warrior (NE of the Voice) with our Skirm (Zidane?)

I guess the battle is a pretty high percentage win for us if he stays where he is- 4 vs (2*(100%+25% fort + 25% hill) = 4 vs 3 (and us with a free strike).

So if we were to go 9 with Zidane, then we'd be able to cut him off from the Voice and force the attack. Is this worth considering?

            Oh, and for Spinebreaker:

I'd go 8-9, but as you say, it's terrain dependent as we reveal more tiles. This should be the Northern edge of the continent, or at least pretty close to it!

              1) Skirmisher complete - start settler or another skirmisher? I believe settler, and have the worker chop the forest - just want to make sure.

              2) There is a Bear 111 of EotS.

              3) The Voice is now garrisoned by 2 Archers and 1 Warrior, and there is another Archer on the Gold Hill.

              and....

              4) Spinebreaker can see the edge of the cultural boundary of The Bunch! This certainly changes things.

Oh my. "The Bunch" share our continent. Team Banana. Hopefully they are sort of a "whatever, man" team, but I fear underestimating them.

Whatever do we say? Do we mention Vox? Do we mention our war with Vox? Has Vox already met them?

As for the next build... I'm not clear on that. I thought maybe there was another skirm scheduled (kinda wrapped around the settler) but maybe not.

                Blake?

Meh, of all the teams we could meet, they are the best. but as Arrian says, always best not to underestimate them. But hopefully we won;y overestimate them as well

Someone else we can kill. In the future. Hopefully. Before someone else does. But I would check the stats asap, tbh.

Woot for three civ continents...but I don;t think this is a three civ continent, tbh.

And, tbh, it doesn't affect short term strat much; if the bunch start popping out archers now to save Vox, they stiffle their own growth. If they start popping axes, meh, we build more cats. If they try to choke us, we have axes and we can have a sentry net out if we need to (might be wise to consider a sentry net anyway so they can't send stuff to Vox and gift, actually.)

All it really means is that we have to negotiate a border agreement with the Bunch asap, and that means trading maps of the area if that is allowed. Need to get them on our side very quickly. As we are the aggressors, we may to have to push the fact that we are very clsoe together, and we didn't break any deals, tell the the truth about our original reasoning. ie, declared war to stop religion spread.

Have to ask snoopy when it is OK to contact them. I assume it is OK when we have them in the diplo screen, but it would be nice to get a jump on it.

I wonder if Vox has failed to go far enough North?

Assume the Bunch and Vox do not have contact, what would we want to tell them in that case?

                        NYE,

I think honesty is the best policy, but I also see no reason to go out of our way to give them information. Therefore, I'd say no mention of Vox and the war unless they ask us. Come out with a standard bland greeting, offer of cooperation/nonaggression. If they ask us about other civs, we can do a "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours" dealio and then reveal Vox's existance (and find out if we're on a 3-civ or more-civ continent via Banana's answer). Once we reveal Vox's existance, if they ask us about our relations with Vox (or propose some sort of cooperation that includes Vox), I figure we can then tell them about the war, and give our side of things.

Skirm i think, we want to grow, switch to the settler in a coupple of turns so that the chop land on it. not?
(im a little outdated, just did some reading up, check with blake to be sure)

edit: yes start building the skirm. switch to settler in (3?). Chop is 4 turns right?

Ok, I was previously stuck on the hammer/commerce/food assignment, will make a pixel count of the graphs this weekend if i get the chance and update it, might explain somethings that were missing if we're lucky.
NYE - Have you updated your stats anytime recently btw?

                              Okay then...
I don't think this really changes anything in the short term... other than maybe having Spiney patrol the forests/jungle up there to watch for Bunch units heading down to "help" in the war with Vox (whatever helping may be...).

Domestically, lets stick with the plan of growing to Size 5 a turn earlier and having the chop land on the settler (but putting hammers into another skirmisher until size 5), this gets Wines founded nice and quickly. If vox continues to pump archers we might want another unit so Wines has 2 defenders and our chokers can stay choking rather than being forced to "Escort" a Vox archer stack to Wines.

Next turn when we have contact we can do a detailed analysis of both Vox and Bunch graphs. We'll know if Bunch are one of the "Wow!" performers (ie the 17food on hammer graph). Oh and it's simply brilliant how we made pre-contact with Bunch while standing on... Bananas. Superb.

I think we have to make peace with The Bunch. If nothing else there's just far too much territory for us. They are ind and might build us wonders as well.
