GREAT news on the copper! That's a relief, and then some!
Tech-wise, we need Pottery and a second city ASAP IMO, and these should be at the forefront of our mind when planning what to do next.
AH would be nice, for sure, but since we HAVE copper, the horses aren't necessary for the immediate goal of knocking Vox's teeth in (and certainly less so than the need for a sufficiently robust economy to support the number of troops we're talking about here).

Choke vox and stop them building any cities. Then kill with axes and cats. Need to keep on building military to do that and stop them breaking out, but otherwise try to increase the size of the 3economy, specifically GNP so we can afford all the extra cities we want to build when we kill Vox.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.
If we go for Pottery, do we go via fishing or agriculture? Fishing is cheaper, but we won't be using it for a very long time. Not that I see much use for farms for a while either...
IMO, Ag's the way to go....we won't need farms in the Capital, true, cos we've got plenty of FP's, but our second city site may not be so blessed, and Ag opens up at least the possibility that we could boost food supply while waiting to pop for hammers....Fishing's cheaper, but we're not coastal, so what it really comes down to is a question of:
"In the near term, will we be in a position of MAYBE needing to work tiles other than FP's, Mines, and other specials, such that a farmed grassland would be an attractive choice?"
If yes, then let's pay the three turn premium and go for it. If our MM Optimizers tell us that we can get around it and/or have better aggregate yields by working something else, then let's shave three turns off of our first cottage and learn us some fishing....

Vel, the soonest I see us using farms is around our 3rd or 4th city... The Voice. The wines don't need farms due to the fp, and a possible 3rd city next to the cow has the cow for food. Add to that that there is still no grain resource in sight...
but Agri gives us a discount on AH, right? If so, there might not be a penalty. And fishing doesn't add anything in the short term either.
True, Ag plays well with our desire to snag AH next, which gives it several points in its favor. If it was me, I'd go Ag, but I can see a case being made for faster Cottages...three turns isn't much, but hey...it's three turns.
I'd be happy to support either approach, altho Ag makes the most sense to my brain.

No. Which is actually one of the reasons I want AH (one of several): chariots are ok softeners. They're cheap and have a chance at retreating.
But there is no guarantee there are any horses around, so going for Pottery may indeed be the clear choice, because cottages will fuel our research and get us to Construction faster.
