50% chance is the best we can get in any 1 to 1 battle at this point... we might be better defended on hills/forest, but Vox will never attack us with their warrior if their archer isn't near to finish the job.

If we can get a 50% shot at their warrior, we'd better take it.

grog want tank...Grog Want Tank... GROG WANT TANK!

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

If you guys know that Vox is not well defended at home, then they may decide to pull back their archer tailing grog to hold onto some real estate or just help contain the Skirm. If Vox have enough to contain the skirm already then ideally we want to destroy that warrior of theies; one less axe they can upgrade if they have copper.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

It would appear Vox is content to keep Grog away and not give chase - bummer.

          What's our move?

The forested hill is still available, or we could scout some more.

            Grog 9.

The terrain from 8 of the mountain then westward is land, land, forest. It's not a dead end and at worst case he's forced to pass the Vox warrior hill (which he has to do anyway).

It's interesting to see that Vox are being very defensive and passive...

Maybe they just don't want us to see them chopping out some Archers...

Grog 9 will show us if there are any sea-specials to go with the rice. Not exactly of pressing relevance but its always nice to uncover some tiles.

yes, but we lose sight of both Voxian units... I prefer 8 as well.

Said with such conviction - it must be true! Here's hoping - I'm going to move Grog 9. (I'm also betting Vox isn't smart enough to wait to trap us up a dead end, based on play to date.)

Here is a shot of our units to the west and north of Vox:

Could someone formulate a precise approach plan for the Skirmishers? Choke and Intimidate is the plan, I believe.

Here is what Grog revealed - crabs:

Woohoo! Looks like Grog will be surviving for a little while longer.

                          Good job guys.
