grog want tank...Grog Want Tank... GROG WANT TANK!

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

Question: can we rule out some of the research routes for the 12 income team as of this turn? Are there any techs that they would have got by this turn if they were researching them with 12 bpt?

There is a wealth of score/demographics information this turn... Vox and The Bunch have both gone up by 6 score.

AND WE HAVE A TRADE-TRIAD WITH VOX! They are on the same river system as us!

Woah. GS and Vox, together again.

            Grog wants payback.

edit: based on the way the river runs, it would seem that Vox is to our east...

Don't forget to bump the "Save is here" thread when you first notice it has come in. Odd that they haven't posted in the common forum save tracker thread.

Paddy the Scot is asking when we're going to play the save. Any reason to hold it up? Could anything about the demographics or Vox trade route change moving Grog 9?

We now have a trade route (must be the river) with Vox!

                  Demographics - see above.

edit: My thoughts on not needing to hold off playing are irrelevant now .

Cool wine. Monarchy is one of those techs we can research quite early on (I think we can get it by 1320BC or so) and this could tip the scales in favor of Monarchy.

We should also strongly consider founding a city on the wines, since it instantly hooks it up and gives the city a base tile of 2-1-3. Plains wines on river is extremely good to found on, compare working improved wines with working floodplain cottage... we're better off spending the worker time making a cottage than a winery.
And look how sweet that site is... a grassland hill on river. Only problem is it can't tile-share with the capital but getting insta +2 commerce might make it worthwhile anyway as the 2nd city site.

Yar, that's lookin' like a nice #2 city site. And there is a decent chance that there are more wines around there.

Altough to whine about the wine site, since there are 2 river crossings it is a shockingly long walk, requiring 3 turns to get between the cities on road, and being unable to counter-attack on the 3rd turn.
In fact it would be needed to build 3 roads to cut down the movement time by just 1 turn.

If we go with the build I propose which gets 2 skirmishers before the settler then we will have adequate defense, so I think it is still a candidate for City#2.
