Shall we tentatively adopt my sim log (a few posts up) as our guide for the next few following turns, then?

We need some sort of advance planning, else we take forever on each turn... (edit: and keep testing nye's nerves!)
And her eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming...

It's a good guide for now.

We really do need a head for Smith's College.

Someone has to step up and organise it. Turn players going nuts is the least of our worries. Careening from one plan to another from turn to turn is deadly (from personal experience).

Depending on what else is around the flood plains northeast of us, we may find ourselves needing all the health we can get for a city or two in that area.

The reason we've had such a mess the first couple turns was that we didn't have enough information to get a clear picture very far in advance. That forced us to make complex economic decisions quickly based on very limited information.

Now that we've settled our capital, we should have a lot more lead time on our economic decisions, and we should have better scouting information when we send out our next settlers. We can use Dominae's plan as our initial framework (other than probably delaying Hunting until after we go for a religion, and the question of which religion we want to go for), and consider modifications and extensions to the plan as they are proposed.

            That is true.

It should be easier from turn to turn now.

However, there will be choices to come. I hope we can manage it better (turns played in hours instead of days).

Thank you, nye! I love you, man!

Blake - I disagree on the point that this is more of what it doesn't need. You're never going to settle south of here given the glaciers down there. We can easily 3-space a city north if desired and give it control of some of the FPs early. While the deer is MUCH less than ideal and not a priority, it basically acts as another FP when all the others in the area are in use at the hands of city #2 or city #3.

In the long run - bring on Bureaucracy and the cash, baby. We've got enough hammers for infrastructure in the long run, we've got the whip supplement early. Me likey.

Sorry I wasn't around last evening... good job, nye!!

                  Bravo

Tough decision, but one had to be made.
