Minor Crisis: WE NEED A NEW GRAND POOBAH!

Maybe we need a Bureaucratic thread (Department), somewhere to lay down the organic structure of GS and the specific responsibilities of the Grand Poobah, the 4 ministers (defense, economics, foreign affairs, KGB) and their specific responsibilities, the historian, etc...

For example, it would be the Minister of Economics’ job to get relevant info from the save (demographics, city production, statistics, etc) post it (make a report) and manage the discussion in the Adam Smith's College thread where we would all give our input. The minister of foreign affairs gathers information from our ambassadors to the other civs and generates an intelligence report with recommendations (derived from the discussion in the Bismarck's College thread) with recommendations to the Grand Poobah and orders to the specific ambassadors.

Btw, who are the ministers? Who will be Sub secretaries (Backups)? That could be handled by (I propose) a Bureaucracy Department where we keep track of who is who, if new ministers are needed, etc.

I think the important thing will actually be having a list of all the info we want each turn.

It comes down to what each individual is willing to do. If the turnplayer is willing to provide the economics info, then our top Economist doesn't have to. Ditto for KGB info (which is really what the demographics, etc., is for: analyzing the opposition). This sort of thing has a way of working itself out.

I would suggest that the turnplayer generally do as much as the turnplayer feels they have time/energy to do, and the rest should be picked up by other active members/ministers. For instance, sometimes the turnplayer will be busy and will only be able to quickly play the save. No screenies, no info, etc. Somebody else will have to take care of that.

Well, this is a "loosely" organized group. Yeah, no need to get all governmental or rigid, but it'd be a good thing for the turn player to have a clear idea of who to turn to to aleviate the workload. Won't be a problem though 'cause most of us will have access to the save in order to get the relevant info out.

As I've said before, I've got no problems (no matter what Master Zen says ) except maybe the lack of experience (hence my willingness to do so )

Dejon also has shown the ability not to see your warnings...
and as the game progresses (as nye says) others will gain interest and soon we'll be fighting to be turnplayers...

My recent silence has been more to do with waiting for the game to even acquire a start date.

When I smell smoke, then I'll get into gear. As for primary or backup - I'm fine with either.
