Without re-reading all this thread, Beta - was there a Byzantine connection? If so, the double headed eagle would be cool.

I will give it try. Don't expect wonders from me, though. I can work with Photoshop, but creativity is not my strongest ace

Here is an s in TypoUprightBT on purple - it is 30 x 38 so needs to be shrunk down. I would also like to turn the square into a banner - similar to the Vox icon.

Ok - colour was too dark. Lighter purple with large S. This doesn't look too bad, Over to you Tibi.

Ok - slightly larger S, and shrunk down to avatar size. Bleh.. you can hardly see the S. Ok - we do need GF.

I don't have your font, but this is not dissimilar. It's centered around a yellow sun that's blurred into the background.

Slightly larger S and 'hinted', which is a GIMP font adjustment that makes it crisper in a smaller size.

Not bad, although it kinda look like a snake . We could make the background a shield, but then the S would be smaller. I will try some alternatives, but only tomorrow, if that's not too late. I don't feel like firing up Photoshop at midnight
