Then you need to download the small piece of software to enable you to get to the chatroom. This is called mIRC ( IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is a virtual meeting place where people from all over the world can meet and talk, and in our case discuss various aspects of the game while it is being played by the President, vote for actions, and generally have a good time! ) To get the software and set it up please follow the following brief instructions.
1) Go to http://www.mirc.com and download mIRC if you dont have it, and install it
2) click on the options button (second from left)
3) click on "Add" button
4) enter the following in the fields
Description: Apolyton
IRC Server: apolyton.net
Port: 6667
and then click on "Add"
4) Fill in the fields: Real Name, E-mail, Nickname, Alternate(in case the first nick is taken) and press "Connect!"
5) mIRC will connect you to the server and the Channels Folder will appear. Type #Apolyton, press "Add" to store it, and then press "Join".
