What's the Free Tech?
If we go for Printing Press first we can grab Scientific Method or Replaceable Parts as a free tech.
Alternatively, after Gunpowder, we can grab Chemistry as a free tech. The others look too cheap.
I'm switching from my short term love of Banking with the proposal to go Printing Press so that Liberalism will open the way up to State Property and a dramatic reduction in our costsComment

Ha!!! But we get Printing Press earlier if we go straight there. We will get a much bigger bonus to research from State Property and we save on the anarchy if we do all the two civic switches at the same time.
For an empire of this size, State Property is the bees knees.
For my next topic, I'll explain why we should be using all our GPs for Golden Ages now.
