I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. Wow what a party... Top bloke that Emu, certainly knows how to put away a beer. Only problem was that he kept complaining about the new workplace laws and how he now has to work at kookaburra rates

So the emu did learn to speak. From my own experience, tall birds don’t seem to acquire much in the way of a vocabulary and need a lot of looking after. But give them a drink and they’re usually happy.Originally posted by tism
