Due to the short time between turn chats 45 and scheduled turn chat 46 I do not believe there is time for a poll.

I open this thread for opinions over the next couple of hours before I make my official turn chat posting.

I am considering three possibilities at this time.

Banking: The tie vote getter from last poll. As noted before this supports financial concerns amongst citizens as it allows the construction of banks.

Philosophy: I would have argued for this in hope of constructing Angkor Wat before the Aztecs. They may or may not be constructing it at this time. As you know Angkor Wat provides +1H to Priests making them a better production specialist (+2H +1G) than Engineers (+2H.) This is also a prerequisite of Liberalism.

Paper: This is the choice favored by some other members of this government. It leads to Printing Press, Education and Liberalism.

Right now our cities cannot build banks because they build troops.

So, banking is not urgent and the techs it leads to also need the

"science path", that gives discount/opens gold and military paths and

commerce and hapiness from Liberalism.

We should be building Banks in our commercial centres - Paddyton, MTTT, Povo Este etc - cities which are not geared up for military production like Iron Tusks, Rubygrad, The Lake and Apolyton.

But I would like to see where to other civs are on the road to Liberalism also. If we are behind, then a bee-line makes sense. If not then Banking works very nicely and I think this also opens the route to Economics after Liberalism.
