Time for another technology poll. I will assume folks know the details of each technology so I will not elaborate here. If it is desired, I can provide additional tech details later here and in future polls at the beginning.

I have voted for Engineering.
As I stated in the turnchat 44 thread, I think the faster we get the Hagia Sophia wonder the better. That +50% worker efficiency means we can save up to 33% off the time to complete each individual improvement. We have lots of improvements to do so the sooner the better.
In addition the +1 road movement means faster times to get troops from production sites to the front lines. Or to move troops within our nation if someone gets uppity and comes to our shores.Yes, negotiations could take some time.

Voted Banking because we are financial and I think (though not sure on this patch) we get a reduction in the price of banks – which we like.
With war on the horizon, Engineering would be quite useful. Pikes are, IIRC, a little cheaper than War Elephants and the road bonus will help us get our units to the ports more quickly.
I think the Paper route to Education might perhaps wait till we have everything ready for the anticipated war though it would be useful to have some sort of “time-line”.
From the “Liberals” amongst you, have you thought what you want to “lightbulb” with Liberalism? – With the coastal threat to our cities, I’ve always been tempted by Chemistry and this will then open up Scientific Method/Communism.

Sadly, Finantial no longer gives redution to Banks (or anything).
About the pikes/elephants, same price, the only avantage of pikes v.
elephants is when fighting among themselves.
Road bonus, yes, that's important for military and workers.
About the free tech: techs for its urgence, but free for its price; so,
Printing Press seems a good choice for our "cottages" and neither
cities nor workers need to take any action to get the bonus.
Best regards,

Voted Paper - war will not last forever, and we must not close off the space option, although I do not personally favour this.I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

P. Press not bad but doesn't sound too great to me. A little cheap if we can get something bigger.Originally posted by fed1943

Best regards,
Have far are our rivals from getting to Liberalism. I guess we have a decent enough lead on them but are behind with Philo
