Minister of Finance Recommendations
Because of the short notice this was put together rather quickly.
I am glad to see that we are going for Divine Right. I have my fingers crossed that we will found Islam.
After Divine Right I recommend Engineering. (Not enough time for a poll.) I recommend this primarily for 2 reasons. The Hagia Sophia is a valuable wonder considering how much improvement our workers still need to do to the countryside. An analysis of specific detail would be somewhat cumbersome. Clearly though the faster improvements are made, the sooner we experience the increased food, hammers and commerce. Also the +1 road movement will significantly aid the movement of troops.
If we decide to research gunpowder after there will only have been a 5 turn delay for Engineering.
I authorize increasing the science rate only if it will create a per turn financial negative no greater than 5% of the existing treasury reserve.
If the per turn financial negative reaches 10% of the existing treasury reserve the science rate should be decreased.
We currently have no overt gold for resource trades in effect.
I would recommend a trade of an appropriate resource with Rome for the 9 gold per turn he has available.
In the area of passive trade we are currently receiving the following:
France 45 commerce
Rome 33 commerce
Greece 20 commerce
Aztec 18 commerce
India 14 commerce
Arabia 7 commerce
