Poll: Victory

As we approach the start of term VI I think it is worthwhile to get another snapshot of the pulse of the nation. The last victory poll was so close we might see a change of heart. I present the poll as multiple choice. Some approaches to victory are similar, conquest and domination for example. A voter may only want to strive for one or may be open to either.

Because pecentages are based on totals votes as opposed to total voters, I ask that participants post that they have voted so we can see the total voters and calculate percentages based on voters.

I am not voting at this time as I am willing to work toward any style of victory.

I always play domination, but not necessarily just domination.

So, here in this game, domination, diplomatic and space race.

I see both Domination and Space being the most achieveable options.

And time is just boring - not really a victory IMO.

I like the "Conquests" way.

Time is just defeat until a more pleasent name.

Conquest is tendious.

Cultural is unachieveable, we haven't built a single great wonder and have instead conquered our neighbors which don't help us there.

Diplomacy is too dangerous, why give the AI the oppertunity for us to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

Personally I say win both ways by building the last space ship part when we are very close to the domination victory condition.

maybe I am just an old Axe Grinder, but a conquest victory certainly seems to appease the Gods of War

Is conquest possible? Doesn't domination necessarily comes first?

Domination includes both a percentage of population and control of a percentage of total land. A conquest with lots of razing along the way is certainly possible before domination kicks in.
