Ok, so we´ve now discovered Feudalism and set sights for Guilds. But should we go in another direction? Speak your mind here!

Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

Guilds!I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

For the record, I think the finance thread to banking has a lot to say for itself too but doesn't do enough for me to rank it higher than a race to the last religion.
The finance branch is also more important for us because of the tendency to run a surplus in all times regardless of whether we need the money.

We need CS and Philosophy to unock Liberalism. Philosophy could have been traded for Feudalism by now, but we chose to only get one out of the two techs.
No-one appears to apreciate the power of careful trading. I sent a possible tech path which took trading into account to Fed, and I was under the impression that he passed it onto Rob. Should I post it here for everyone to look at?Ceeforee v0.1 - The Unofficial Civ 4 Editor -= Something no Civ Modder should ever be without =- Last Updated: 27/03/2009

If only Gandhi has theology, I say we use the one(!) turn to get it and swoop the wonders that gets unlocked from that tech right under the nose of him!

Of course, there's not much to be gained by supporting my point of view. I think the very fact that I support something makes it look less appealing

Indeed. MMC passed me a tech path and, with his permission, IOriginally posted by MMC

passed it to Rob. The only reason I didn't mencionated before is I
was taught, and believe, to be uncivil to call publicly a private talk.
Said path is: Astro - Philo - CS - Paper - Education - Liberalism -
Gunpower - Guilds - Banking - Printing Press - Replacable Parts -
Rifling - Engineering - Chemistry - Steam Power - Steel - Railroad.
I think this path (from MMC) is an excellent rule of thumb.
IMHO, just needed to be adapted (not making it better as path)
to the actual situation (An example: CS, Pap. and Ed. are one
branch to Liberalism, Philo is the other; but Philo in itself gives
nothing and CS+Ed. give,so they should be put before).
As can be easily seen I heavly based my votes on said path, just
because I think is good.
About Feudalism: it was very needed (all agreed) so, if it didn't
come from trade, must come from research; as I said not to trade
because the trade is bad AND not to research because could be
traded, is surely wrong.
I hope I left the subject clear, in what I'm connected to it.
Best regards,
