  • Where to settle our GMerchants?

IMHO, our game, now and in the short term, have two decisions to do.

The biggest is the research path.

The second is where to settle the GM (the current one and the future

    ones.

    A GM produces here 1 food+6 gold+3 beakers.

Gold and beakers is a just a question of the multipliers to take out the

most of the GM output, without caring if the GMs are together or split.

The decisive point comes from the +1 F, as one (or more) food can

allow, a otherwise impossible, grow, or faster grow, or less need of

farms,or just a different order in the workers tasks.

We have no Holy Shrine, there will be no H. S. in our continent and

even Bombay is far in the future, so we lack one element to the

Gold City; the best we can do close to G.C. is a great commercial

    city with the multipliers.

And which one? Povo Este and MTT are out because they have

other duties. The city I see who better can fil the bill is Bananastary

( coastal, 11 cottages and 18 hammers to build the infraestructure)

reason I think the GMs must go there to help fast grow and profit

    from all (future) multipliers.

True, it will take some time, but right now just markets and libraries

    exist.

    Best regards,

As always I bow to your greater knowledge than mine.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

      Bananastary gets my vote.

Sorry - that's what I meant by the above post!

I think you've convinced me on this one. Would be nice to see a few city diagrams.

        And a poll

I take it all back. You've dumped a high quality unit in a low quality city there.

              Absolutely ludicruous.

Almost grounds for impeachment in my book

                  Get used to criticism Zoid!

All too well to accuse those of criticism as being whingers. It makes it quite convenient for those driving the game to hide their blunders.

I'm hardly expecting the game to be free of mistakes. But where there are mistakes, I think it appropriate to inform people.

And settling a GP in a city with no library, market or academy was a BIG mistake. That place doesn't even have a granary, forge and courthouse so it's going to be a long time before any of those buildings go up. At the moment, this is costing us up to 1.5gpt and 2.25bpt - so almost equivalent to 4gpt.

Part of the problem anyway is that policy is not being clearly aired so it's far more likely that you'll make either strategic or tactical mistakes. Since there has been little statement of public support for any government action in recent times, it is obvious to me who is to blame when these mistakes are made.

Then, just the identification is missing.

I can take criticism. But not this stupid "oh, behave or I´ll impeach you. I have the power, yada, yada, yada." Either you do something or you don´t. Saying that this and that is worthy of impeachment and then not following up on it is whining. Why even bring it up if you have no intentions of take it further than a whiny post?

And if you´re going to point the finger at someone, do it properly instead of hiding behind innuendos... Good manners are not something that applies exclusively to goverment officials...

You're putting a different interpretation on my words. They were plain enough and if you want me to explain them in simpler terms I will:

                        a) Placing a GP in a city with no improvements was idiotic
                        b) The government officials responsible has lost a significant part of a valuable asset raising questions over their suitability for the role.
