I believe Gandhi is always on the look-out for Philosophy, so we should be able to get Feudalism for it in a trade. A bit of a 2 for 1 deal, really.Ceeforee v0.1 - The Unofficial Civ 4 Editor -= Something no Civ Modder should ever be without =- Last Updated: 27/03/2009

Feudalism (3 turns) because it opens all the paths:
a) The science path by Civil Service till Liberalism;
b) The economic path by Guilds and Banking;
c) The gathering path by Civil Service;
d) The military path by Civil Service and Guilds.
May be others will trade tech with us in reasonable terms, or not;
but we can research for ourselves, fast and well, and cement our
leadership at peace or at war.
Best regards,

Feudalism here too!
Man - that surprised even me!I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Options a), c) and d) are faster if we go straight to Civil Service.Originally posted by fed1943

Choosing something because it gives more options is all well and good but it seems like the vote for Feudalism is based on so many options that there is the risk that this is not a coherent vote.
Also, might I suggest that the government make it clearer where it plans to go beyond Feudalism. It's starting to look a bit like a WAS strategy here.
