Here’s something that’s got me confused, the chat referred to a Great Artist being created in 17 turns. When I see the City manager, I would have thought it would be much more likely to be a Great Scientist in 6 turns. What I have missed here?
Also, there seems some fixed idea that we have to run with positive gold despite the fact that Astronomy is still 7 turns away and we have lots of money. The only reason to force a surplus if you have some immediate use for the case or if you are close to zero. We can afford to run –90 gold for 7 turns without going bust, and since the this will give us overseas trade, I can see why we are not spending the money.
