wait a minute, this was a non-reserved off the shelf copy with spiral binding? that's cool, EB games listed that as a pre-order selling point
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

Yeah, pretty lucky, I think. That or I just took away some poor SOB's pre-order box!

You should also check a couple of other sections, which also mention Apolytoners (they may be listed in your list as well, didn't check). Based on the credits of a non-final build (so some mutations may have occured), these names should also be mentioned (names between parentheses are Apolyton handles, added by me):

            Programming Group:
            Jon Shafer (Trip)
            Alex Mantzaris (alexman)

            Scenario and Tutorial Designers:
            Jon Shafer (Trip)
            Martin "Isak" Isaksen
            Wouter "Locutus" Snijders
            Dale "Dale" Kent

            Earth Maps/Greek World:
            Gabrielle "Rhye" Trovato

            Writers:
            Michael Soracoe (Sulla)

            Onsite 2K Games Testers:
            Michael Soracoe (Sulla)

            Play Session Leads:
            Jesse "Friedrich Psitalon" Fletcher
            Martin "Isak" Isaksen
            Robert "Sirian" Thomas

            AI & Gameplay Consultant:
            Robert "Sirian" Thomas

            Production Assistance:
            Peter "PeteT" Triggs (Peter Triggs)
Rob "rob" Cheng (robC -- I think)
            Vesselin "Civrules" Gueorguiev
            Kai "ColdFever" Fiebach

            Special Thanks:
            Kai Fiebach (ColdFever)
            Apolyton
            Civ Fanatics

            I hope I didn't overlook anyone...

Edit: found Sulla's real name and updated the list accordingly.

by the way, what do you mean by "old school" stuff?

I just mean the box is full of extras: tech tree, keyboard shortcut, full manual, nice CD holder, extra CD just of the music, "Bible" box, etc. Like the old days, when the packaging itself gave you a reason to slow down and enjoy the process.

By comparison, many games now come out in super-thin packages with manual on PDFs, etc.

true, I just can't believe you got all that when I thought that stuff was meant for pre-order only.

But, yeah now that I think about it, that is all old, good tradition.

I'm actually just doing the tutorial (for kicks). And scanning stuff for others.

well, considering the types of game changes, the tutorial seems like a good place to start. Old school civers might have some old strategies destroyed it seems...
