Oh, and as for the pre-order thing... I dont care if they only had pre-order yesterday, 3 times they told me they'd have copies yesterday, and they werent selling them. They lied to me, and I deserve better.

Besides, the Futureshop I named above happens to have a cute chick from my Poly Sci course. I plan to hang out around there more now, hehehehehe

Did they have a lot of copies? I'm going to try the Future Shop at Promenades before EB, just because of the price difference (and the fact I have a lot of hate for EB right now); but it's nice to have a backup plan.

Just came back from futurshop downtown. Got the game at 2 pm, they had about 10 copies left on the shelf.

GameBuzz had a bunch of copies.

Problem is, they contain Disk 1, and no Disk 2, and two copies of the disk containing the Manual.

I finished work late (6PM)... There was one copy on the shelves at Future Shop Promenades St-Bruno when I got there, and it had a bent cover, so my girlfriend went to look for someone to ask if there were more copies.

Another guy comes in (who turns out to be a graphics designer at Ubisoft) frantically looking for Civ4...... turns out this was the EIGHTH place he was trying, it was sold out downtown and elsewhere... The Future Shop guy then came and said that he had more...

Came back with 10 copies, which I and my new friend took... there were only 4 left in the back; apparently they've been selling like crazy.

It's installing RIGHT NOW!!!!!! Off I go to play.

Has anyone checked the Forum store? It's listed as in stock on their website, so I'd maybe dash down first thing tomorrow morning. But you can't really trust the website.

Did you get the collector's edition?

I just went to EB and got mine; yelled a bit at the guy since they didn't have the collector's edition. When I pre-ordered it I made sure that would get it by clearly stating I wanted the special pre-order collector's edition; when I got there, he told me "We don't have any, and we won't get any". Morons...

I wanted the collector's edition really badly too; all the binding and such seemed really nice.. Oh well, another screw up for canadian customers I guess.

As I said.. City of Villains on monday, then it's byebye EB Games. I think I'll tell them I'd rather pirate games then buy at their crappy store. Of course, working in the games industry, I stopped doing that evil deed a while ago, but still

I had some luck today as I went to EB (In Fairview Pointe Claire). I walked in and asked the same guy that I've been asking everyday for the last 4 days whether they had civ4 and he looked at me and said, they're sold out. As a desperate attempt I said "Even the preorders?" (I had preordered) and his face lit up "oh you pre-oredered it" and he scurried off to fetch me a copy. Got the collector's edition, and my tech tree was in english

Alright! Finally!

If anyone else is still looking. Future Shop at the Forum. They're not bothering to put them on the shelves though. Ask the salesman, he'll escort you to the cash and they're there.

At least about 20 left, but they probably have more boxes of goodness in back.
