Firaxis and 2K Games on the French Tech Tree Issue

I think Firaxis made it a little too easy for people who didn't buy the game to get the tech-tree poster for free btw.

I pre-ordered the Special Edition. My 30 day return window is almost over. Today is November 16, 2005.

Please help, I registered just for this reason.

I think ALL the 'Special Edition' Civ4 got the French Tech Poster.

The 'Standard' version is smaller and is in English.

So I guess you got a Special Edition with the English poster?

In case anyone would like a good deal, www.GoGamer.com is selling a special over the weekend may until Tuesdays, the standard version for only 35 USD plus 2 USD for S/H. It is the UK version on DVD and it has the English Tech Poster.

It would seem only the US with the Special Edition got the French Tech Poster. I still have not received a replacement yet. That is the main reason I bought the Special Edition to get the Tech poster.

Am I the only one who got a French Tech Poster? Did anyone else get their replacement yet?

I wish I waited until now. I can get the game for less money (50 USD to 35 USD) plus a real English Tech Tree Poster, and it is on DVD.

ASFAIK the UK version which this is, had no porblems with the poster or messed up CD not working causing install errors. I will never pe-order again a game.

I still have no replacement poster. ASFAIK no one has posted (or just too lazy) to say if they got their relacement yet.

The ME and "I do not care about you" as long as I got mine generation.

And 2K takes the piss big time for not even saying when they are going to mail them out, now or never. Just a placeholder to make you feel good.
