Does anybody know when the Amazon oders will ship out?

I don't want to go through the hassle of cancelling my order and placing it somewhere else if I only have to wait a day or two.

My order was for three games (AOEIII, Call of Duty 2 and CIV IV) I am showing on my order anywhere for delivery from Oct 24 to Nov 14th

at least I have a window for delivery..Think I do

Amazon here, scheduled to ship on Halloween and arrive a week later. I figure it'll get here when it gets here; I wanted it as cheap as I could manage on a pre-order. Life goes on, y'know?

Yeah, it's official- I cancelled my order. My Amazon status page now says it will ship on October 31, screw that. They're not getting my money on this one.

I guess I'll forget about the special pre-order edition and go pick it up in a store somewhere. Disappointment mounts.

This kind of reminds me of when Half-Life 2 first came out and it was impossible to get the thing activated. It was a great game-- one of my favorites-- but my memory of it will always be tarnished.

Any word on when EBgames orders are going out?

I think I will keep my order with Amazon since they still have me listed as next-day (1-day) delivery but has updated my pending credit card charge showing $0 for delivery and handling charge.

Besides, I now show my delivery date as being sometime between this Friday and next Monday. I can live with that given that Amazon is waived the entire shipping cost of my order.

I took your cue, sent a "I chose Amazon-cause-your -so-big-and dependable" tone

I then asked for an explanation, for at work I tried to see what would happen and it had a message, "Order now" within next 8 hours and 17 minutes and get it next day

I told them I just dropped $150.00 bucks on 3 games and a strategy guide, the least they could do was give me a better time frame than "October 24-November 14th" routine

So I dropped my order at Amazon and ordered from EBgames, overnight shipping, because their website said it was in stock, and people on this forum have said EBgames is shipping. I hope I did the right thing.

I always thought pre-ordering was the safe option, a guarantee that your item would go out on the day of release. I guess not. Amazon says they ran out or they didn't get enough copies from the publisher? Seems strange. I would think Amazon would be a high priority for any game company.

Has Amazon shipped any copies today, or did they delay every single preorder? Seems like they should send out what copies they have, if they even have any. Maybe they all got lost in the mail somewhere between Take2 and Amazon.

I mean I know I am but a number to them, but surely Amazon had a few copies?

Its just that well weekend is coming and would love to have the game

But I chose to save money and my wife is hear to console me during this time I am waiting..

Yeah, this sucks with Amazon. Mine says shipping on Oct 31st. If I can find the presell edition tomorrow at EB Games (usually you can find one or two around), I'll just cancel with Amazon.

My Amazon order still give a shipping estimate of 24th-25th, with a delivery estimate of 25th-26th. I'm hoping sometime tommorow I'll get a real shipping estimate...

I think I'll go to all the electronic stores near me. See if they got the preorder edition. Screw Amazon. If they aren't even going to SHIP it on the release date... well forget 'em.
