Curious, does everyone have visibility over a little swath of land that has some floodplains in it, far from their capital? I do ...

I'm a firm beliver in spending a little extra time in the begining to ensure quality play for the next 1-2 years.

But if everyone is cool with huge... then so am I.

ordinarily you would probably be right, however this game as taken such a long time to get going another delay would be too much.

With this being a pitboss game i fail to see why huge would be a problem anyhow, after all we should have a swiftly moving game here no matter what map size we go with.

another factor is that water will be plentiful on this map, land is going to at a premium to some extent, should make for a better game having the huge map.

That would explain how they have some fog revealed a long way away from their capital. You do realise that fog can be reset in the world-builder? Technically this does give that team a slight advantage, but it's small enough that I can't be bothered debating it.

Only just realised this game was up, by the way - I've been busy and haven't had time to check the forums, and never got a message notifying me that the game had begun. I'll try to get Stratega's turn played soon...

Sorry bud, that is probably my fault, I never sent an email. And yes I do realize that, its just with all of the things I was looking for and doing with the map, I must have forgotten. This game setup did not go as well as I had hoped. My apologies to everyone.

E, no apologies necessary. The game is up and running. Enough said.

And CM's point about water and land being at a premium makes good sense.

Let's just get going at this point.

Game appears to be down, and I was just about to play Stratega's turn before 4000 BC is over... Luc, can you please let me know when the game's back up since it's important for us to found our capital or move our settler in 4000 BC so as not to waste a turn.

                        Thanks.

Yep same here, just tried to log on assuming turn two was ready and got caught in the infinate "waiting to contact host" message.

I think something is fubar on your end Luc.

                          Thanks

Yeah, his other games are currently down too so it must be a server issue.

My apologies. My son decided to play SIMS 2 on my server last night and apparently rebooted it at one point. Everything should be up and running now.

Again I apologize. There are two other computers here, not sure why he chose that one. He gets in trouble when he gets on it without permission.
