As the admin, I can't just "end the turn" of a team without connecting as this team. If I were just the admin, it could be possible, but I'm a Spamyard player and I'm not intended to see the situation in game of this civ.

There is a mediate solution.

We switch this game from Democracy game to a regular PTBS game and we start a new BTS Demo game.

That is of course if more than one team are not interested to continue and that 10 people from the current teams (or not) are willing to continue running the civs on their own.

Hmmm ... let me think on this.

Also - I can do some recruiting for the admin team. Simply replace the existing slate of players - er non-players , with some new folks. Give me a few days. I have an idea.

The problem is that we are at level emperor, so, if I convert his civ into an AI, the civ will grow very fast and become stronger than us, human civs. It's not acceptable.

I will be able to play my turns when this restarts (if) ... A day or two before 21/12 I was unexpectedly called away on a family emergency, and made that clear to several but didn't have a ton of time to post unfortunately. I have been very busy both with family (after that) and work (before that), but should be able to play our turns with no problem from here on out.

I frequently post when i'm unable to play games - at work, at another house, etc., and unfortunately when I do that typically it is with a very limited time frame.

I'm sorry if I delayed the game, but in a PTBS I'm not entirely sure I see what the problem is if the timer runs out on most turns... the 48 hour timeframe was agreed to at the start, and my playing or not playing aside it should still turn every 48 hours on the dot. Unfortunately nobody else on staff has the time to play this game (other than those already on teams ...) , so when I'm called away, I have few options. I had started this team with the understanding that this would not be the case, but it has become that way regardless. I do generally use large enough queues to not be too severely hurt by missing a few turns.

Again - I'm sorry I was unable to play for an extended period of time, that should not be a problem in the immediate future. I also wouldn't mind if this was ended and made into a BtS demo game - but if my 'team' is the only one holding it up, don't do that quite yet

As an aside, Astrologix, when you convert the civ to an AI, it becomes a Noble AI regardless of the level (levels in MP only are 'player' levels, in that the player happiness/healthiness/etc. constraints and barbarian bonuses, etc., are at that level; the AI is always noble in MP games). I can tell you from significant MP experience that a noble AI in an emperor game (one) is not anything to be concerned about.

Nah, it's the same team... we just all came back.

I however agree with con.... its a doomed game, we should start over with BTS, fewer teams, and perferably a smaller map. Huge is just too much IMO.
