PrinceBolkonsky, even without CIV, you can participate as part of a demogame team, giving your input to the turnplayer or conducting diplomacy, or any other number of things. Not having the game simply disqualifies you from playing the turns, not from being a part of the team
I make movies. Come check 'em out.

I am in two games and while new out of gate for Civin committment, thus far am extremely pleased with his dedication.

Although one week he used carrier pigeons for the turns, even though he was quick to turn it around, still took awhile.

Please prince, join in our discussions, you will enjoy them

Yes I was house sitting where there was only a dial-up connection. Very frustrating! Nevertheless I have processesed about 325 turns in 4 games over a period of about 3 weeks. If anyone wants to play CTP1 I have room for a few more games!

I'll follow along but I don't see how I would be able to join in on decision making when I would not be able to see exactly what is going on as I don't have CIV IV and have never played it. I have CIV 2 and 3 and CTP 1 and 2 and most of the mods for those. My computer PIII 750 MHz 512K Ram just ain't fast enough for CIV IV.

Screenshots is a way to overcome this.

The important thing is that you won't have a solid knowledge of how Civ4 works. The basic concept is similar to CTP but there are lot of important details that differ.

Well, it won't hurt you if you read the posts and participate in some of the discussions like voting for a leader or other stuff that might not have to do with the game directly.

To add to that, it is a good opportunity, perhaps the closest you can get, to introduce yourself to Civ4 and get a solid idea of what this game is all about. Then you might even buy it
