This thread is for people to express their interest in forming a team.

Apparently according to the poll, we will have about 5-6 teams.

You can also post the name of the team if you have thought of one.

As to its name, I would prefer if the historical civ names are used.

Mercenaries Mark II

Assuming folks WANT such a thing in this game, of course.

If Mercs are not wanted....I might think of another 'concept' team or lurk in an existing team. But I'm seriously tired of 'standard' teams.

A Feudal team could be extremely fun in CIV with the right folks.

What is a Feudal Team?

At it's base:

Each member (who wants to) will actually control a city and units produced from said city.

The government will need some adjusting for CIV, but essentially those players who control the cities that produce the most gold will get proportionately more say in the financial matters of the kingdom. Those who produce the troops get more say over military matters, etc etc. Players are encouraged to act in their holdings best interest, thus when determining, say, war on a neighbor. The player trading that neighbor sugar will be naturally opposed while the player with troops may desire to expand his border.

I'd like to share the ground with a Merc or Feudal team, but I can't speak for all of the SCS...

I'd like a Feudal game, but only of it's a single-player game.

would have to be a rather small single player game then. The concept is ideally suited to a team of 5-7 folks.

Another question, as I have no idea about Pitboss - how do we "access" the game? (ie without a save arriving via email?)

You log on to the server from the multiplayer menu in CIV.

If we're doing standard turns and not simultaneous, pitboss can automatically email you when you're up as well, so just instead of downloading the save, you log in and play.
