ok - how do I connect to the game? I'm a complete n00b at multi-player, to say nothing of pitboss.

I tried opening up direct IP connection and type www.civstats.com with the password, but wasn't able to connect.

Sorry to be so ignorant, but I have to start somewhere!!

You have to go to the directIP connection, sure enough, but you need to connect to a different ip. I don't know what the IP is as I've never connected to the game, the best bet is if you pm one of Rob, EPW, or Sullla and ask for the ip address (it has a few words in it mind, I think). The civstats website is only used to keep track of who logged into the game and who ended their turns. You should connect to civstats through a web browser.

you need all of it to connect to the game, then the password cr0ss to connect to the banana civ. I would appreciate it if you would post a few screenshots of the land and cities over the next few weeks, seeing how noone on Banana really did it before hand, but that is an incredably minor point which can easily wait until when you are comfortable with the game.
