Game settings discussion

This is a thread where we discuss what we want as the game settings (and what we will eventually cast our vote for) along with what civ we want.

I'll be making my opinions on game settings in the public thread for now.

As for the civ, I've already said I prefer France due to the fact that the flor-de-lis (sp?) on the French banner looks like an unpeeled banana. As for the leader, I prefer De Gaulle due to his traits.

not sure about France ... surly there is a Civ leader that looks like he could be leading a Banana Republic somewhere .... Although I could definatly see Degaul as a puppet in a Banana regieme Ethopia's special building is a monument, the way I see it a banana shaped monument

How much detail shall we go into in the setup process??

1. Lets vote on every single aspect of the setup process......
2. Let's vote on the major settings and leave the rest Keygen......
3. Let's vote on just a handful of settings and leave the rest to Keygen......
4. Let's give Keygen a descriptive brief only.......
5. Let's leave all settings in the hands of Keygen.......
6. (abstain)

Ooh I just found out about this forum.

Fractal works for me. I don't like the french because let's face it - how many wars have the french won? We don't want to jinx ourselves!

Well, I suppose any leader will do so long as we maintain a healthy obsession towards capturing every single Banana resource on the map.

I'm neutral. I can't remember ever playing a fractal one... though just as long as it's not pangaea or Terra... Terra takes some of the fun out of it if you figure out you're in Fl or something (if I'm reading that right.)

Hmm, just saw where they have a second map type poll open.

I'm just a newb, so don't give this too much weight. You people with more MP and DG experience will know what works best in these games.

If it was just me, I'd pick something like Fractal or Archi (low sea level) to spread people out and try for a fairly balanced setup.

I'm not fond of Pangaea and Inland Sea (seem to encourage warfare), Terra (gives leaders more of a lead with free space), and Big&Small (wierd landmass shapes)

Again, just my 2c worth. About as useful as a coin-flip, but I can save you the work of the toss, I guess.
