  • Should We Post Something about "Ending Turns"?

I'm sure some of you have noticed this as well: every team plays their turn, then the game sits around for the final 15-20 hours with nothing taking place, since Imperio never clicks the "end turn" button. I'm wondering, should we post something in the general forum to this effect? We're literally sitting on our hands doing nothing one out of every two days, for no real reason.

I don't want our team to sound like jerks, but at the same time I don't see any reason why Imperio can't simply end their turn after playing. I'd also like to see this game finish in 2009, not 2011.

Yeah maybe. It's not always imperio though, quite often it's the templars and occasionally the rabbits that are left to play.

We can just be typical MP players and spam "PRESS ENTER NOOBS" in the chat...

We can put the "our team is losing interest" spin on it, to make it sound more urgent and less confrontational. (I guess in that case the post would have to be made by one of official leaders, or our diplomat.)

That sounds more confrontational to me. I'd just post something like "When you've finished your turn, please don't forget to press enter "

However we do it, I think we still want to seem like "nice guys" even when off duty. We won't want to look like people that have come from another website constantly whining about the game. That's asking to get declared on later!

Not sure we should post something.
Now that we have made contact with the Templars and contact with another civ is very likely, I have the impression we need the time to discuss the diplomat actions etc.

Good points about not complaining on other people's forums. Maybe I am just too impatient.

Seems like Imperio is struggling to get their turns played. They have not logged in in 48 hours despite having 23 people on their team. I am pretty certain that this happened to them at least once already.

                    Alright,
I think it is worth coming back to Sulllas initial post.
Imperio again failed to log in (cannot say for sure without civstat) and failed to press enter.
This has happened a lot lately with Imperio.
We could expect better from a team of 23, I believe.

So I am in favor of mentioning it officially.
We could sound out PAL & Templars first maybe, before we make an official complaint.

                    Thoughts?

Well, personally I disagree making an "official complaint". What do you hope to acheive with one? Imperio have missed about 4 turns out of 36. I doubt they are missing them intentionally. I doubt an official complaint will make them miss less turns - missed turns are presumably the result of poor communication within the team. What we definitely don't want to do is give Imperio the feeling they are being ganged up upon. If we contact the other teams, make a joint complaint along the lines of "Play your turns!" then they could get uppity and just decide to quit. Now that would be a complete disaster. Having an AI team control a civ on our continent. I'd rather Imperio miss 1/10 of their turns than an AI take over.
