Hard to see from the screenies, but I'm presuming that they are from 2 different turns and PAL hadn't ended turn in the top screenie.

Top screenie (1st turn): Workers in top desert square (1-1-2 of Eisenburg) move 9 and road. Main stack (1-1-2-2 of Eisenburg) move 8-9.

Bottom screenie (2nd turn): Main stack (now 1-2 of Eisenburg) move 9.

    Have I squinted correctly??

They have only had one turn (158) as we are moving first and the second pic is taken just after turn 159 started.

The move that they did, they could pull off legally.

No. I am not going to teach you how it would be possible. It would count as interference in the game.

I merely pointed out that it was possible, so that you would not ask me to make a ruling and slow down the game. I do not want a situation to arise as one did over New Years.

Can you confirm/clarify that a unit with 1 movement point per turn moved 3 squares in one turn using only road and non-road squares?

It all depends on the roads Pal built, if they had built the road on the grass which is possible given enough workers before the borders expanded then yes they could well have made the move we see in the two pics, also note Pal has bridges the treb has move 3 squares also !

But krill your job as mod of the game is to explain such things, if you have an explanation that is ! surely explaining would prevent a disruption to the game !!!

Sorry I brought this up, I have found out how it can be done.
(1 step forward, build road(with 2 workers), two steps forward.)

it was dependant on the desert tile road being finished on time, if that was the case which it must have been then there move is possible.

in hindsight we should have taken the fact they had units on the desert as a clear indication of what was about to happen, had our borders popped a turn earlier it would not have been possible for them.
