So, in short, there already was a (later) confirmed double move on which I only added a possible extra. If it took a week to come up with a decision, that's not the fault of the Caerbannog team. IIRC you checked the turns in a single day once everybody agreed to you as admin.
Yeah, they doublemoved, they didn't deny that. . With no game admin at the point, ask Snoopy for a reload, and if PAL flame you, then have 1 person post how and why they double moved, and everyone stay out of the discussion. As it was, you guys flamed back, which is why it took a week to solve the problem as everything dissolved into a flame war, based around the problem that you guys didn't understand how they used workers.

My other point was that when the game was reloaded, you played out your unit moves differently so that most of the units were not killable by PAL. That is a big nono. A double move can be resolved by a reload, but replaying the game with extra knowledge is (almost?) the worst infringement you can make, and that means that any time a reload occurs, you have to replay the game exactly how you did in the first place, excepting doublemoves etc. There has been demogames were the punishment for first offense was ejection of the player that did it.

As on the replay, that turn didn't become the official turn later on due to your admin decision. If you absolve PAL now because of their rampant double playing (for whatever reason) I don't think you should hold it against this team.
That sentence (as explained earlier) doesn't pertain at all to in game rules, that was a description of how to handle a flame war based around in game hostilities; flame wars in the forum aren't my responsibility, but I do have to tell Ming and RAH about any flaming going on. Nobody in this game has been absolved of any game rules they have broken, whether they have been fixed by a reload or not. That includes PAL and yourselves.

In any case, the point is moot in the short term because of my harddrive failure.
Ouch, good luck finding another turn player.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

I'm sorry, but except the most northern axeman not a single unit (IIRC) was placed differently then already planned.
If they were not reachable by PAL was because the turn was played first by us, which was something Snoopy seemed to have decided back then.

          Or not.
Since no-one steps up to play in a timely fashion, I resigned our civ.

              Sorry 'bout that.
Look on the bright side, I just saved you the embarrassing situation of being the last player.

How about this forum? Will we request a mod to lock it down?

Why was this not put to the team before it was done?
Is possible to reactivate the Rabbit?

To answer Geo's question - it's clearly up to you all, typically we leave DG subforums open if there is interest to continue following the game as it goes on (see Vox in PTWDG1) but that's a team choice. No spam is allowed of course

Yes, negotiations could take some time.

OK, we are reactivated but the AI have alredy finished this turn so we cannot do anything until next turn. What should we do?

How long do we have until they reach Caerbannog? 12 turns? Do we just dig in and fight or try to get a settler to the other continent?

We could run the great Spy to Banana and gift him over. Or we could use him on PAL and provide detailed intelligence to our friends at RB and Banana.

If you had plans to take over the torch, you should have stepped forward earlier, .
