  • Turn 110 - 125 BC

Well, unless we get some real good tech transfers from either Imperio or Realms Beyond, we're history. See the 3 macemen?

We need either Engineering or Feudalism to counter that.

Its either time for diplomacy or time for the last stand, i feel we have been duped by at least more than one team diplomatically, but being so new a recruit to the team do not have a complete history to work off of.

The issues we had with PAL over turn playing etc will not bode well for us in any diplomatic talks with them, so I dont expect we would broker a favourable deal from them.

It could be possible they have there main strength there on show, to frighten us off, is there any possibility of our stack getting behind theres to pillage deeper into their lands ?

And my final thought for now is there any way for us to run with a settler ?

We're duped by Imperio for sure. They have traded intensely with PAL and that's why they could get to Code of Laws so quickly.

I won't do a thing diplomatically with them, that's up to someone else in this team.

I've been thinking of using our general chariot to peek at Heliopolis, but I think they'll be so smart to put at least one spearman behind. Besides, those war chariots can reach any of our stacks this turn, and they have 2 workers to build a road to any stack we leave in range. We're simply forced to retreat or see action.

Not in this game. The 'last unit standing' option isn't enabled. In that news, next turn we'll be getting a great spy, but with that stack we're bound to lose all our cities in 15-20 turns. Anybody has suggestions to gift the unit over to a particular civ when the time comes?
Of course, we could try to use the great spy to initiate a golden age and get some research done sooner. Like Feudalism, or perhaps the Crossbow tech.

Please check the turn tracking thread, because PAL posted that it played their turn early (and that tony character is still part of that team).
What do we do with it? Play twice in a row as suggested by him (there's a scouting benefit for us there), or delay the whole game for at least 3 days because the host (Snoopy) is absent that long?

        Comments please.

Ideally you'd have made a decision by this evening; any later and you might as well reload.

(Though now they've shown there hand, do you guys actually gain anything from a reload?)
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

              Damn it!
I made a wrong move. I wanted to just move the chariot to Heliopolis, but the whole stack was selected and I didn't notice.
Guess we lose our army somewhat sooner then expected then.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Oh well - these things happen.
