  • Turn 94 - 525 BC

    We're doomed.

I see 5 chariots, 4 axes, a spear and 1 warrior. They took out our retreating axestack. Basically, we've got 1 warrior, 1 spearman, 1 damaged axeman and 1 damaged chariot left. O yes, they captured 2 of our workers as well.

2 options: fight to the death (literally) or propose to become a vassal.

How the hell did we misjudge the situation so catastropichally?? This must be the biggest ****-up in Apolyton DG history...

We're not gonna win this, let's cut our losses and fight to the death.

all is not lost, we will suffer some losses but use the whip for some spears asap, then lets hope banana can draw at least some of that strength away while
      we re-arm

PAL are very experienced players they wont likely overextend themsleves if they have 2 fronts to watch.

Lastly what joy is their to be had from vasslization ? fight on till the death if needs be.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I say some people here should be forbidden to do far scout travels
for the next six months. (just a jock).
And yes, fight as we can; if no other reason to act other way would
unbalance the game and be unfair to the remaining teams.
              Best regards,

It ain't over 'til the fat rabbit sings.

We just won't be able to do this on our own.

The turn is replayed. PAL still has the opportunity to take out one axeman (with that chariot you see on the stone hill in the first screenshot), but that's it.

I'll upload screenshots tomorrow when it's clear no more trouble comes up in the 'Disputes' thread.

What would you guys do if this were actually the nation in which you lived? I think we should go vassal if they'll (who?) have us. Live to fight another day when we're more ready.

If we vassal with PAL (capitulate) then a build up of arms and expansion would seem a natural part of helping them fight their wars.

Fighting to the death seems an easy way to give up, if we have any other choice.

I would suggest not capitulating to PAL, who probably wouldn't accept the offer. Let us try Imperio. They are on par techwise with PAL. Then we can work toward the demise of PAL.
