  • Turn 82 - 825 BC

For the last two turns our warrior in the far west is keeping an eye on another team. We can't make contact yet, but we know it's Imperio because of the color.

Also, this is for sure the team PaL made contact with because both of them had a trade score increase. I couldn't determine what they traded, the PaL trade screen doesn't show anything new, so it must be outside our tech beeline.

PaL proposed the Writing for Meditation+Priesthood trade in the diploscreen, with the promise to deliver Ivory once it's linked. I accepted it to get Writing. I assume the Ivory will be delivered through our Axes.

Also, PaL has quite a number of cities now (6 iirc), and stepped up its power almost to our level this turn.

    Caerbannog...

... started on a library. 7 turns, but the two workers are mining the forest hill, so that's 20 hammers extra in 4 turns. In 5 turns it should be done.

O yes, I switched research to Pottery again, and decreased the slider to 70%. No turn loss for the research here.

Never mind what the screenshot says about buildtime, I adjusted things ingame since then.

      Diggers Burrow...

... is still training along. Axe is done next turn. I suppose one of the units there needs to go to Caerbannog to help with there (from next turn onwards).

        Valley Hutch...

... is still busy on the barracks.
Things are more interesting in the surrounding area. The settler will be able to settle next turn on Fed's optimum spot (sheep, cow, stone and rice in the citycross).
Our "Barb Hunter" axeman took out the barb warrior without losses.

          Some extra info...

Banana switched to Representation. I expect them to become leader in the midlong run now.

Just thought I'ld mention we might want to look into getting that silver, and whatever else is up there, connected.

            Especially if going to war.

It's perfectly possible this is already in the plan as I haven't paid attention to most/any discussion for all of October.

I need someone to make up a plan of campaign on harassing PaL. I simply can't come up with something that I think will work, especially now that there power is about the same as ours.

I think it is to late. We need to build a larger army and get in contact with the other continent.

Bah. Power graph. PFFT. That's from their cities.

Let's go bonk some HEADS ALREADY!!!

Harrassment. I need more screens and details on the units available before I can really give input. (3 axes I see, is that all?)

I don't care about this silly outpost city of thiers, where are we going to locate the MEAT?

Get me a screen of PAL lands. We'll show em how to play ball.

                      Do we have ponies hooked?

Can we get 2 chariots perty please? As in POP ONE IN DB IN 2 TURNS AND WE HAVE 2 CHARIOTS IN 3 TURNS, PLEASE. And I don't want to hear no *****ing about the uselessness of this popping.

Axe finishes this turn, build chariot next turn, pop following turn, finishing chariot 1, overrun finishes chariot 2 the turn after. Presto, 4 axes 2 chariot harrassment force.

A stack of 4 axes and 2 chariots should do rather nicely. The Axes guard the chariots from spears, the chariots guard the axes from other chariots, and enable us to pillage+move same turn.

And we got any scouts left on this side doin nothing? One of them in the group could be handy.

Ah, I found the thread started at the end of October with their territory.

I want all axes to congregate on the stone to the west, just north of their border town there.

And, we need those chariots ASAP, but we can go with 3 axes now (4 would be better, upgrade that warrior, maybe?)

My colorblindness does not do well in the fog there, can you tell me what resources they have in their territory, please?

                          Hi Uno, We have:
                          2 Warrioors,
                          4 Axemen,
                          1 SpearMan.
Horses will be available in 1 turn.

Not a big army to go to war with at the moment.

We don't NEED a big army to wage guerilla warfare with.

4 axe and 1 spear will do fine for now, when can they be assembled. The chariots can catch up later.

We're NOT looking to go smashing cities right now, just throw a wrench in PAL's business. We don't need a massive army. But, if we DON'T do something before they get construction, we have no chance vs elephants.

Atm, they're focussing on the Civil tech. The Courthouse tech. 7 turns so they are burning gold I think.

Horses are in our territory next turn, and the two workers near Valley Hutch will move back to put a pasture on the plot.
