    Caerbannog...

... has started a worker. The settler is on its way west.
Doe's Toiler on the bottom of the screen is roading back to base.

You can see our slider and research situation on the top and top left of the screenshot.

      Diggers Burrow...

... is going nicely. Our two workers have started a mine on that hill.

        Valley Hutch...

... is the core of the action these days. Check the screenshot carefully and please give your recommendations.

As you can see, with at 71% battleodds Thumper can beat that barb warrior on the east. If we win that battle, we would be able to give a second promotion to Thumper. We can also wait a few turns and let that barb be intercepted by one of our axes.
The barb NE from Valley Hutch is trapped next turn. No escape possible unless it heads north again.

          I just realized...

... the NE barb wasn't on the screenshot.

          Here's it.

How much would it cost to upgrade Thumper to an axe?

Also - I would not attack with him - 71% is not high enough when we have other options.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

80 gold for the upgrade. We have 124 gold left and dropping.

                Thanks Geo.

I would still leave Thumper in the city, and await an axe to the barb.

Is the west city the place marked as "cityspot?"?
                      It is far from good.
Much better would be 4 or 1 from it:
                      4 - Loses 1 overlaped flood,1 desert/hills/river and coastals with no
                      specials to gain 2 grasses and 1 grass/sheep;
1 - The same situation, just no longer the grass/sheep, instead
                      grass/ivory.
                      Best regards,

fed, the main reason (for me) is to have a coastal city on a good border spot with PaL and to have a harbor city beyond the icepack that probibits us from sending galleys to the other continent to make contact with other teams.
It also has 3 resources in its citycross, which sure isn't bad.
Both your proposals don't give us a seaport, and your "1" option puts us in a citycross conflict with PaL, which may make them antsy too soon for our purposes.

So, do you agree "my" 4 is better than the "cityspot"?
Good cities are the engine to win the game.
If to connect the civs of the other continent/s is so urgent, then I would say the place to make the trick is 7 of warhammer:
silver,marble,hills,+3 hills for productions and 3 fish to provide the
                          food.
I'll say go there, but not right now (because I see more urgent to
make the economy and protect then to contact).
                          Best regards,
