  • Turn 69 - 1240 BC

Caerbannog is still building a tower to light a candle for our fisherbits.

4 turns to go, as you can see.
Next turn, the worker is ready for deployment. I assume we'll be founding a city south of Caerbannog on the peninsula (whale+cow+wheat in the citycross), before turning our attention to inland cities again. So I propose to sent the worker south to build a road and chop the forest where the new city will come.

    Diggers Burrow

Busy training axebits. I gather 't will be busy with that for a while.
Next turn the culture grows, so workers can put a pasture on the pigs once they're back from Aachen.

      Aachen

After our breedy 'bits did their job here, the Monument will all of a sudden be finished sooner then expected.
I propose to let both workers build a road in the forest south of the mountain, so the town is linked to copper for if the need arises.

        Forward warbits

Both our warbits are playing seek-and-defend with the barb warrior.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Has anyone heard back from PAL?

I would not be in favor of the whale city being the next city. It should either be one north of Caerbannog to take advantage of resources up there or near the barbarian city (after its fall) to set up a cultural blocking of PAL.

I still favor a switch to Monarchy at this time. How is PAL progressing toward Alphabet according to our spies?
Yes, negotiations could take some time.

A city with wheat and cow would pop out settlers/worker quickly........

I checked our gmail account yesterday, and nothing new came in.
Can you check if the PM you sent has been received and read?

The territory near the barb city isn't free yet (I mean 2 plot radius), even don't know how strong the defenses are, so IMO its premature to plan a city there already. And since we're still a far way from Plantations, the northern spot is out at the moment. The second settler could be marked for one of these spots. Further more, I think we should have a coastal city there ASAP to have the Moai Statues ASAP.

412 turns at the moment. They're doing nothing but hoarding cash and/or espionage points at this stage.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're hoarding gold and are constructing the Pyramids and switch to that civic that allows construction to finish sooner with gold once the wonder is done.

The Barb city will not be a problem for our Axmen.

Sorry didn't know about PM tracking. I have checked and it has not been read yet.

It would be possible that PAL is switching to a different tech, finishing their turn and then switching back to alphabet if they suspect we might be watching.

If that's the case, we would be able to spot the pattern in civstats. Except one or two times, no PAL player is online close enough to the time the turner lapses to switch research.

If they persistently entered the game near the time the new turn starts, I'd agree. But I don't find enough prove for that.

The Deer, Marble, Wheat site to the north of Caerbannog should be seriously considered in the near future, if not next.......
