  • Turn 64 - 1480 BC

    Better late then never.

Not that there's much to report. One turn before Caerbannog finishes its worker (which gives us just enough time to finish the poll before a new production MUST be put in the queue), One turn before Priesthood is finished so we must decide on a new research too.
I adjusted the sliders and Citizens in Caerbannog so we don't have a deficit nor production timeloss. Though if I see the direction the war/build poll is taking I'll probably switch to a more hammer output again despite running a deficit then.

Dumdadumdadum. B³ is free to move next turn, so no threat from the barb warrior I indicated with a dot (wasn't visible yet when I took the screenshot).
    Axeman is going as planned.
And 2 turns before the cow pasture is finished.

Aachen has still a long way to go, but enough warriors have arrived in the warren to put their stubby stuff on the bottom of the more lazy local wabbits to encourage their full effort.

        Now a cautious announcement.

For the last 3-4 turns PaL has managed to pour only 1 beaker/turn in their research towards Alphabet. I can believe 2 turns of anarchy for some civic changes (provided they could change civics) but nothing popped up in the ingame Book of Records.

So, my thought is they're or hoarding cash for some reason, or spending points like crazy on another civ. I took notes (see Caerbannog screenshot) and noticed they're alotting 2 /turn on us. Banana spents nothing on us, so a "war" between them is a possibility or another civ from the other continent. But for safety I go out from a rush, which might be a prelude to upgrading warriors to better soldiers.

We still have more then 120 in our coffers, enough to upgrade 1 warrior in Aachen to a better unit. And Axemen pouring out of Diggers Warren on a good rate once the cow there gives us , so I'm not too worried yet.

Next time I'm online in the game, I'll check if we can already see how much points they have to one another. As long as we don't have Alphabet we can't check on the tech screen how much /turn they make.

EDIT: I did a check, and indeed PaL and Banana are locked in an war. One team has spent 202 points, the other 109 points to the other.

          Lovely.

A war between PAL/Banana MUST be responded to. If it comes to open war.

Okay. I think that if we let Diggers Warren pour out units all the time we should be good in having a response army. We own the great wall, so every unit we have can be put to the front as long as no galleys are spotted.

There's a difference between preparing for a possible situation and build up a war machine with the intent to attack once its ready.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.
