Year 1480BC: time to decide strategy

(Some data first: 1 city has bronze, capital shall have it in 5 turns,
3rd city in 10).

AFAIK, there is only two open good moves:

a) Decide, prepare and attack PAL; or,

b) Expand fast to good sites on north and northwest.

Expansion places IMHO: 7788 from Caerbannog for spices, wheat
and marble (a quite place) and northwest.
But the top place (cow,ivory) is now occupied.
And,worse, from said place PAL can easily attack to east or north,
so, it looks, our position to expand is weak.

So, I think the attack ASAP is stronger.

Anyway the most important is to make up our mind about the way
to go.

Hmmm, I was going to suggest a peaceful (but vigilant) expansion. But I don't want to set up an easy, soft target for PAL. I await further comments and opinions before I make up my mind...

As on being a soft target, it looks like PaL is more busy with expanding then us. At least, they have according to the diploscreen a city more then us.

At this moment I favor a 3 member continental alliance. Let us build a couple of galleys to make contact with the other continent. Only when we develop mutually beeficial relationships with the other continent should we consider attacking PAL. Why? Because if the other continent (which has 2 financial races) develops a tech alliance, they will outpace us. Even more so if we are fighting among ourselves on this continent.

If we as a team choose this more peaceful route, we should expand aggressively. We should use the Oracle slingshot to grab Code of Laws which gives us access to our unique building the Rathaus.

We should save the Maoi Statues for the city we will eventually build on the tip of our continent just South of Caerbannog.

Good thinking here. But we'd better settle that spot the soonest then. More benefits the longer the Statues exists.

If we have to go to war with PAL I think it should be as soon as possible as they will soon pull ahead in all fields if we let them expand too much........
