  • Disinformation opportunity utilizing PolyChat

I recieved the following PM from DanQ regarding my upcoming PolyChat appearance. Seems a good time to tell them how we were amazed to find our city built on iron when we popped a hut with iron working the turn after popping a hut with bronze working. How the map isn't much of a challenge when iron, copper and horses are within the city radius.

Anyway, what can I/can't I say or should I say nothing?

    Hi Lance.

As a member of the Rabbits of Caerbannog team for the BtS Team Democracy Game here on Poly, we'd like you to tell us -- as much as you can -- about your involvement in the ongoing effort and your team on this episode. If you'd rather not, please let me know on/by Tuesday, June 24th.

    Erm, I meant PolyCast. :senile:

Hmm, using my encroaching senility to good advantage I could also tell them I don't recall ever being a rabbit.

I'd spin some tale about copper, iron, and horses.

      Neighbours met.....

      Tech deals made......

      Treaties signed........

      Carrots shared........
Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

Prefacing this that I don't listen to the polycasts.

I'ld only be for such a thing if it were obvious we were pulling everyone's leg.

Why? This is a game and a game site, are there really moral issues involved?

Because I've been worn down from playing...10 + demogames with certain peoples on this forum who take these things WAY too serious, and being banned for writing some "news" in one of the games.

That's too bad. Seems like alot of bother over nothing. Maybe I'll just tell Dan that since I can't run Civ IV I just give small observations and do some cheer leading which is mostly just the facts.

Nah, have fun with it, just make sure it's a bunch of outrageous statements.

Remember also that this is our way to advertise the BTSDG. Have your fun, but also make sure to instill interest in the game. Who knows, it may get us some more players.

Methos, nobody or almost nobody listens to Polycast anyway.

I figure I'll tell them that the Rabbits came to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and we're all outa bubble gum.

If anyone's listening maybe that will draw interest.

Can we agree on that? Any other ideas for outrageous statements?

More people listen to the podcast then you think. The downloads themselves show that. Don't go into this thinking no one will listen, that's all I ask. Other then that, I have no input.
