      And here comes the unfortunately misled Buttercup. Still ignorant of his leader's mistake, he relentlessly plots the arid wastelands of the near arctic, only to find his path blocked by the Great Polar Sea.

        Nothing new on research and production: Mining finished in 4 turns, and the workboat will finish in 3 turns.

        As on moves, I endorse Thumper to go 3.
        Buttercup could go 4-->3.
        I would wait for Dandelion until Thumper makes his move. He might reveal whether or not we have a big inland sea here or two peninsula's separated by a strait.

                            Buttercup should move 4-3 to get a view of the ocean. Next turn he can then move 2-1. If he just moves 3 and ends on the stone hill he will most likely move 1-1. Moving 4-3 now gets us the extra view of the ocean and he ends up on the same square next turn.

                            Thumper should move 2 as noted above by others.

                            Wait for Thumper before we move Dandelion.
                            Yes, negotiations could take some time.
