I have no experience playing MP games. I would guess that Balance is best, but would prefer first to hear from experienced MP'ers before I cast my vote.

While I am not a hugely experienced demo gamer - I see the two options as thus:

Balanced - the "fairest" - everyone (in theory) starts off on a level playing field.

Standard - more challenging - because you may not get the important early resources - so you may struggle from day one.

Depends how you want to look at it - Balanced is "nicer" - Standard more realistic.

The advantage of going with balanced IMO - is you remove one excuse for teams to use fgor poor performance.

I am leaning towards Standard on this one.....
