Krill should know (a coincidence, not because he's the group leader or anything), and nye would have known if only he'd kept in touch with Frankie, but no one else here does or ever will. I'm sorry for being so cryptic but I have no choice in this matter.

But no, he was not a DL (if that were the case we'd probably go public with it, cheaters do not deserve the privilege of anonymity). It's not related to this DG at all.

Actually Locutus, I have an idea, but I don't know for certain We can leave it here though, if you want, but if you do want to ban anyone else in RaY from Poly after joining this team I would appreciate knowing why I haven't been banned as well.

It is exceedingly rare for us to ban anyone outright in the way we've done with DeyReepher, in fact this is pretty much a first. No need to worry in the slightest about anyone else getting a similar treatment, I find it hard to imagine that we'll ever do this again (I certainly hope not).

But yes, let's let this matter lie, it's something between the administration and DeyReepher (if you do feel the need to discuss it further PM me).

Wow, there's Civ clans? Online play must be more popular than I thought.

Haven't been in a real clan since way back in ye olde Diablo II days.

You kidding me? It's pretty big, as a proportion of the online fan community anyway. Just not on Apolyton: http://www.civplayers.com/ (mind you, they're in the process of moving sites and rebooting so it's a bit of a mess and very empty right now)

Yeah, whenever I've tried to log into the MP stuff, there's typically a dozen games at most, and all but 1 or two passworded invite only. So I guess I kinda assumed it was just a bunch of organized games, not really 'popular' in the jump in and play kind of way I would expect clans to form in.


Then I keep REALLY bizaar schedules, so I hit down times in a lot of games.

No, it isn't particular popular, only a handful of clans in CIV compared to the hundreds that play stuff like WiC (although even that is dying now because of how the devs there are messing about)

I guess it depends on your expectations. If you expect H3-type crowds you're gonna be sorely disappointed, but most PC games these days (that aren't MMOs) would be happy to have the MP activity that Civ4 has, including some mainstream ones like Crysis and UT3 from what I hear. Unfortunately MP has all but moved on to consoles...

Well, I typically quite literally couldn't find a game that wasn't passworded. And after a few weeks of that just quit looking.

That's what I get for playing at 4AM.
