I know this may be a little late as polls are coming fast and furious. What are the rules about winning polls? Does an option need a plurality or a majority to win? If 6 options get one vote and 1 option gets 2, does the two vote option win? That doesn't seem quite right.

Would we be better off by having a mutiple choice poll to narrow down options? After the first round of votes the top 2, 3 or 4 vote getters would then be part of a one team one vote poll.

New world land masses may be best handled as a multiple choice. That would allow for some surprises. The admin might choose between 1, 2 or 3 new world landmasses depending what the top vote getters were in that poll.

Don't mean to throw a wrench into the works, but thought these are valid points to consider.

Sorry for the delay in answering, got a little swamped with 'to dos'!!!

I think the answer depends greatly on the poll in question. To be honest, now that Map Type has been decided, I can't see it being a major problem.

As the voting schedule progresses the options narrow considerably, once we get # of Old World and New World Landmasses decided the options narrow to 3-5 per vote and then narrow further to yes/no options......

In the event of a tied vote I will always post a runoff poll with a shorter duration than the normal votes.

As you can see from the poll schedule, this is already a lengthy process. The tighter we can keep the schedule the better for everyone I think.

Once the BtS patch gets released I think we'd all like to kick off as soon as possible afterwards........
