Qualifications: I like bananas. My son likes bananas, too - as a matter of fact, they are about the only fruit or vegetable he will eat, unless you count french fries.

Lack of qualifications: No Team Civ experience. I'll learn.

Question: Can we beeline to Representation so we can declare ourselves The Banana Republic?

Will, if I had one I would let you know what was on it. To be honest that all depends on what we, the DG community, want to vote on.

Personally I am in favour of just giving Keygen a very open brief as to what sort of things we would like featured in a map, and let him get on with it.

e.g. We would like a map that enables fairly early contact with a majority of the other teams. We would like water to play a substantial part in the game, so it doesn't boil down to a land orientated game. We would like some unsettled land that can only be reached later in the game with ocean going vessels. We would like resource trading to factor strongly in the game, so please can you make sure that not every civ has every type of resource in their vicinity......

I am pretty sure however that other people here would like to micro manage the set up process so no0 stone remains unturned. Each to his own, and I guess that what type of setup we want to go for should be the first poll...........

You should, as a team, start thinking about what type of civ you want to play, get a shortlist together and look at all your possibilities. Do you choose your civ based on the map we decide on, or do you choose your civ and then try to influence the set up procedure to try to get a map that suits it........
