I'm suprised no one has noticed, but the health and happy caps are the same from noble upwards. Only thing that is affected is tech cost and boni against barbs and for huts iirc.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

OK, after reading through the whole thread again, it seems that we have a shortlist of three basic map types.
Pangaea
Terra
Inland Sea
It also seems that the general consensus is for early diplomacy/war opportunities to promote healthy discussion from the word go. Good use of navies also shows strongly, so ample water will be a must.
Map Size seems to be Small or Standard, based on the number of teams who have signed up, or have shown a strong desire to sign up.
Climate and Sea Level I say we leave to Keygen.
Era is a given at Ancient
Speed : Normal seems to be just edging out Epic.........
World Wrap : Some sort of wrapping seems to be in the majority.
Normal Barbarians
Any victory condition
What say you all that we give this brief to Keygen to make a custom map with?
Shall we give map discussion 72 more hours and then leave the map process in Keygens hands? Please feel free to post what you would like added, or taken away from the brief......
That way Keygen can have a while to experiment and tweak some maps until he designs the perfect one; and we, the players, will have some surprises waiting for us when we finally get to play the game.......
Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.
The BtS Pitboss Team Democracy Game has just started!!!
Come and test your metal in theApolyton Civ4 Beyond the Sword Tri-League Tournament
Tohunga o kairākau of Southern Cross in the Warlords Pitboss Team Democracy Game, and Member of the Great Council and Curator of The Khan's Compendium for The Horde in the Civ4 Team Democracy Game
Three points that haven't been mentioned much are city flipping after conquest, tech trading and random events.
What about??
City flipping after conquest ON
No tech brokering
Random Events ON
Your thoughts please......

Inland Sea It creates too many artificial "target civs" for the poor jerks who get stuck in the middle parts with no way to wrap.
As for declaring no Tech Brokering, that really seems to be something that would be left up to the individual teams and their diplomatic corps, doesn't it? I mean, if I make a trade with the conditions that you don't re-trade the tech, and then you do, I now know what kind of trading partner you are
