Quick start update.
Downlaoded to desktop...
Clicked on file (with disc in the machine)...
As game was opening up, sent file to wastebasket...
Game never did fully open up...oops!
Restored file to desktop and clicked again. Playing now.
Please note IF the final file later says that I started twice, this post is only 5-minutes after the downlaod post. Sorry for being quick to clean up desktop.

What are you talking about. This map needs hardcore military. I've been waging war since the classical age and haven't had a single moment of peace since. Somehow I can't manage to keep the other civs pleased towards me.Originally posted by TortoiseII

How does one go about the following situation btw? your neighbouring civs are way behind in techs so you decide to wipe them out to create some breathing space. After a few initial batterings they are vassalized by a slightly more distant but very advanced civ. Of course the master gives all his techs to his vassals so you're stuck with a powerful enemy sending huge stacks, and with no room to expand yourself. After all, the weak civs are lodged tight since they now have the same units I have. Once I manage to sign peace with the first master, the next turn another master with 2 vassals surrounding me declares war on me.
