Jungle III eased to top spot with a nice domination victory. Draethor was in a comfortable second place, while Ms_Summer pipped EPW to third place with more martial antics.....

this was a pretty fun game too, i love the ethopians. cheap courthouses and libraries is such a huge boon, it makes setting up infrastructure exponetially faster and more economical. i expanded to 3 or 4 cities and quickly absorbed the french. there was a pretty huge swath of territory between me and the next target, so i built infrastructure and expanded as fast as i could. i also built a ton of oromo warrios, and was quickly cranking them out starting with drill 4 or 5. this was very helpful throughout the rest of the game, as i made it a point to upgrade them and all those first strikes were just brutal.

this game was pretty standard, once i got up to the rest of the enemies i smashed them in short order. expanding quickly but peacefully is one of my biggest weaknesses and really delayed my victory date.

Yep, I agree with jbp26 that the Ethiopians are kick butt. This was the game we voted on the settings (for those who can't remember), and although I like Zara Yaqob previously... I hadn't had a good chance to try him out because some of his traits were previously nerfed. Speaking of settings voted - I do prefer random events on, and should have scored a little better if at a slower speed... but the majority spoke...

Obviously, Zara's strengths are very strong for a large nation (courthouses cheap) and the combination of cheap libraries is such a bonus - he is indomitable.

It was a fun game to be able to play in any style you want, to achieve anything you want and I have a new favourite leader and nation. As for my game - I just capitalized on his strengths and it worked for me. I just conquered and grew, and kept one goal in mind - to achieve domination victory early.
