Even though I can't submit it, I'll give a quick rundown.

I built 4 initial cities, I gifted a lot of deer and gems to everyone keeping them off of me for the most part. Everyone except Isabella.

She would declare war on me then send a stack halfway across the map to attack Thebes, lose, and then sue for peace.

When I reached Cavalry I attacked and destroyed Victoria. Will be a simple, but time consuming, game to finish and I should easily win.

    I'm currently at about 1762 A.D.

    ACK!

Much the same here, I floundered a bit at the end (I was at 1492 when the time ran out) before that I'd whipped Victoria into submssion and had her become my vassal. Shortly thereafter Catherine asked for my protection which I granted. Then Boudica declared war on me and my vassals, I sent my battle hardened macemen down to Victorias besieged capital, and they made mincemeat out of Boudicas Gallic Warriors and cats. She then tried to attack me from the other side of my empire but once again was slaughtered by my even more battle hardened macemen that I was able to heal and send to the rescue in the time it took her to cross the entire map...

In the end I had a 1300 point lead down to Boudica in second place. I could probably use the Apostolic Palace for a diplomatic victory, but I'm not sure how to do that (does that resolution come automagically?)

All in all I enjoyed this game very much, it's a shame I didn't finish in time...

Yes - automatically - but never when you want in my experience.....
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Although I'm not 100% sure, I believe the state religion of the AP needs to be spread to every civilization.

So if you've spread your religion to everyone except for one civ, the diplomatic leader option will not appear.

Well, I finished the game, had Boudica askto be my vassal, which I grant. That resulted in my being at war with the other 3 civs.

I held Elizabeth in check, as shewould send stacks across the border, I'd ambush them with cavalry stacks.

Meanwhile a second cavalry stack razed a Spanish city and captured Seville, which I returned to Isabella for peace.

Elizabeth then sued for peace, while I took my Spanish cavalry stack and razed a Rusian city.

Catherine sued for peace with Boudica, which ended the war.

I stepped up production of Culture buildings and won a Cultural Victory in July of 1975.

              I scored 9781 or so.

First completed game of Civ 4 since about 3 months after the initial release of the game.

As far as Boreal maps go, I'd never playedone, but it showed me that cold weather cities areviable.

I submitted a completed game. I sent the last auto-save and the replay file.

I got double-teamed fairly early on--I think I had just founded my 7th city. Actually it was my 8th, but I lost one to an unlucky barbarian uprising near a city I had just founded.

I lost horribly, but I did finish and submit it.

I didn't have any problem with the map. I rather enjoyed it, in fact, it was a nice change of pace. The one thing that bugged me was having multiple Englands. It becomes hard to know which England a leader is demanding you stop trading with, and which England's spies are ravaging your countryside.

EDIT: I re-checked the rules, and there was no "Wait... just one more turn" because I had been eliminated. After I went through all the stat screens, it put up a dialog that says "The end of History" with a button "Exit to the Main Menu". The only save I had was the last auto-save.

Carch, you need to change your game settings to autosave every turn, the default is every three or seven turns, or something like that.

PM me if you need help changing this setting.
